Tierra Verde is really just south of St. Petersburg and directly on the Gulf of Mexico. Actually I shouldn’t be recommending this park as we are regulars and have a hard time getting sites here.

The campground at Fort De Soto park is gorgeous with private type sites (foliage) some right on the water and others just off. Electricity and water only with dump stations and a nice little campground store. It is a Pinellas County Park… and very reasonably priced with limits on your length of stay…
