I-75 Traffic Detours, Delays for Work in Cincinnati Metro This Week

The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) reports the following I-75 Traffic advisories and restrictions in Hamilton County (Cincinnati metro area), through the week ending June 3, 2023. All work will be contingent upon the weather.

I-74/I-275 Resurfacing & Bridge Repairs – On I-74, from the Dry Fork Road interchange to just west of the Hamilton/Cleves Road interchange, as well as I-275, between its junction with I-74 and the Kilby Road interchange. Single-lane closures will be in effect on either route, with traffic maintained in one lane on weekdays, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 p.m. each night to 6:00 a.m. the following day.

I-75/Mill Creek Expressway Major Rehabilitation  – Major rehabilitation project at the I-74/75 interchange to widen and resurface I-75 between Paddock Road and the Western Hills Viaduct and reconfigure the interchange. Work also includes interchange improvements at Hopple Street, I-74, Mitchell Avenue, Norwood Lateral and Paddock Road. Various lane and shoulder restrictions may be in effect on the mainline and at affected ramps within the project zone during evening and overnight hours, including the following:

Wednesday & Thursday, May 31 & June 1: 

  • Single-lane closure on the I-75 North ramp to I-74 West and single-lane closure on I-74 West (center through lane) between the I-75 and Beekman Street overpasses, from 8:00 p.m. each night to 6:00 a.m. the following day. 
  • Closure of the ramp from I-74 West to Beekman Street (Exit 18) nightly from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Traffic will be detoured via the Montana Avenue interchange and I-74 East to Beekman Street. 

I-75 Thru the Valley Major Rehabilitation – Between Glendale-Milford Road and the Kemper Road overpass. Restrictions will also be in effect on the Sharon Road overpass for bridge work, and various lane and shoulder restrictions will be in effect on the mainline, as well as intermittent restrictions at the ramps.

I-75 Resurfacing – On I-75 North and South, between the Brent Spence Bridge and Harrison Avenue. Operations are scheduled to resume Sunday, May 21, following a winter hiatus, and crews will be paving the final surface course and applying permanent pavement markings on the mainline, as well as the various ramps within the project limits, including the following:

Tuesday-Friday, May 30-June 2:

  • Single-lane closures will be in effect on I-75 North in the two-lane section between the bridge and Harrison Avenue from 8:00 p.m. each night to 6:00 a.m. the following day.
