I-75 Traffic Restrictions on Several Major Projects in Ohio This Week

The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) reports the following I-75 traffic impacts on major construction projects this week. All work is weather-dependent and subject to change.

I-75/Mill Creek Expressway Major Rehabilitation Project
This major rehabilitation project at the I-74/75 interchange will widen and resurface I-75 between Paddock Road and the Western Hills Viaduct and reconfigure the interchange. Work also includes interchange improvements at Hopple Street, I-74, Mitchell Avenue, Norwood Lateral and Paddock Road. Various lane and shoulder restrictions may be in effect on the mainline and at affected ramps within the project zone during evening and overnight hours, including the following:

Tuesday, June 13:

  • Traffic shifts on southbound Spring Grove Avenue and closure of the northbound left-turn lane to Colerain Avenue from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Wednesday & Thursday, June 14 & 15:

  • Single-lane closure of I-74 East, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Thursday, June 15.
  • Closure of the westbound I-74 contraflow lane from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Thursday.
  • Short-term (15-minute intervals) full closure of the I-75 South to I-74 West ramp between midnight and 4:00 a.m. Thursday, June 15. 
  • Short-term (15-minute intervals) full closure of the I-75 North ramp to I-74 West between midnight and 4:00 a.m. Thursday, June 15. 

Saturday, June 17:

  • Closure of Elmore Street between Colerain Avenue and Beekman Street for crane demobilization from 5:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., or until work is completed.

I-75 Thru the Valley Major Rehabilitation Project 
This project is located between Glendale-Milford Road and the Kemper Road overpass. Restrictions will also be in effect on the Sharon Road overpass for bridge work, and various lane and shoulder restrictions will be in effect on the mainline, as well as intermittent restrictions at the ramps, including the following:

Monday, June 12:

  • Close the ramp from Glendale-Milford Road to I-75 North, and the ramp from I-75 North to Sharon Road, between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 13.
  • Single-lane closure on I-75 North, from Glendale-Milford Road to I-275, beginning at 8:00 p.m., followed by double-lane closures at 11:00 p.m., with all restrictions lifted by 6:00 a.m. 
  • Short-term full closures on I-75 North, from Glendale-Milford Road to the I-275 ramp/Kemper Road bridge, between midnight and 4:00 a.m. Traffic will be maintained with law enforcement officers.

Wednesday, June 14:

  • Single-lane closure on I-75 South, from I-275 to Glendale-Milford Road, beginning at 8:00 p.m., followed by double-lane closures at 11:00 p.m., with all restrictions lifted by 6:00 a.m. Thursday, June 15.

Thursday, June 15:

  • Close the ramp from Sharon Road to I-75 South between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. Friday, June 16.
  • Single-lane closures on I-75 South, from I-275 to Glendale-Milford Road, beginning at 8:00 p.m., followed by double-lane closures at 11:00 p.m., with all restrictions lifted by 6:00 a.m.
  • Short-term full closures on I-75 South, from the I-275 ramp/Kemper Road bridge to Glendale-Milford Road, between midnight and 4:00 a.m. Traffic will be maintained with law enforcement officers.

Friday, June 16:

  • Close the ramp from I-75 South to Glendale-Milford Road between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. Saturday, June 17. Traffic will be detoured via the Shepherd Lane exit (Exit 13).
  • Short-term full closures on I-75 South, from the I-275 ramp/Kemper Road bridge to Glendale-Milford Road, between midnight and 4:00 a.m. Traffic will be maintained with law enforcement officers.
