The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) reports that as previously announced, traffic changes will be going into effect as part of the I-75 between Needmore Road (exit 58) and Leo Street (north of exit 54) reconstruction project; however, the schedule has been changed due to this week’s inclement weather.

Starting at 9:00 p.m. on Monday, May 5, crews will be working to close the exit and entrance ramps at Stanley Avenue and I-75 South for the ramps’ reconstruction. The closures, which will be in effect for approximately 60 days, will be in place by the early morning commute on Tuesday, May 6. Once the on-ramp from Stanley is closed, motorists will be rerouted via Stanley Avenue to N. Dixie Drive to Needmore Road to I-75. Motorists from I-75 South to Stanley Avenue will be routed by way of the Wagner Ford Road exit and N. Dixie Drive.

As crews are working to close the Stanley Avenue ramps, they will also be working to reopen the ramp from Needmore Road to I-75 South. Motorists will be able to access the ramp starting the morning of Tuesday, May 6, prior to the closure of the Stanley Avenue ramp.

ODOT understands that construction can be disruptive, and we appreciate the traveling public’s patience and understanding as we work to improve Ohio’s infrastructure. Drivers are reminded to be attentive and to use additional caution when traveling work zones by slowing down and eliminating distractions.
