The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will begin concrete repairs on northbound I-75 between M-84 and Salzburg Road in Bay County on Sunday, October 18. The work is expected to be completed by Thursday, October 22.
The project will require closing the two right lanes of northbound I-75 along this segment south of Bay City. Drivers traveling through the work zone should prepare for reduced lane availability and possible delays, particularly during periods of heavier traffic.
The announced restrictions apply to northbound I-75 between the two interchanges. Motorists approaching the repair area should watch for posted signs, follow lane guidance and allow additional time to reach their destinations.

Travelers using this stretch of I-75 during the repair period should check traffic conditions before departing. The reduced number of available lanes may affect travel times, so drivers with scheduled appointments or other time-sensitive trips should plan accordingly.
Within the work zone, motorists should observe posted speed limits, leave adequate space between vehicles and remain alert for slowing or stopped traffic. Drivers should also follow signs and lane markings when approaching the closures.
The completion date is an estimate. Motorists should consult current construction information rather than assume the restrictions have ended on the scheduled date.
