The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of scheduled overnight lane closures on I-75 in Fayette County for pavement repair work on the Newtown Pike and Cane Run bridges.
Work is scheduled for Thursday, May 7 from 6:30 p.m. to midnight, weather permitting.
During work hours, I-75 northbound will be reduced to one lane between mile points 114.6 and 116.7. The Newtown Pike ramps to access northbound I-75 will also be closed during the operation.
To access I-75 northbound, motorists can continue east on Newtown Pike (KY 922), turn left onto Iron Works Pike (KY1973) and follow the signs to the I-75 northbound entrance ramp.
Motorists should expect delays and are advised to use caution, reduce speed and watch for personnel and equipment in the work zone.
All work and/or closures are scheduled on a tentative basis and are subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
