The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) reports that the Northbound I-75 ramp to US-24/Telegraph remains CLOSED along with Northbound US-24/Telegraph from Pennsylvania to Eureka in Taylor due to a sinkhole below the pavement where the I-75 ramp comes into US-24/Telegraph.
Currently, a crew is ‘saw cutting’ the Northbound US-24/Telegraph pavement and once that’s completed, the removal of the pavement will start tomorrow and a closer inspection can begin of the situation; the mostly disintegrated drain, the void area, etc. A concrete pipe is expected to be put in place, and then new concrete poured and time to cure before the roadways can be reopened to traffic.
Northbound I-75 traffic can detour to Eureka Road. Northbound US-24/Telegraph traffic can use other local E/W roads for a detour.
