The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) reports that a sinkhole has occurred on Northbound US-24/Telegraph, north of Pennsylvania, in Taylor which requires the closure of both Northbound US-24 and the ramp from Northbound I-75 to Northbound US24, (exit 35) as the ramp comes right into the sinkhole area.
Crews are assessing the situation and expect to close both routes ASAP. Since there needs to be an investigation to the cause and the design of a fix, the length of closure time is unknown. More info to come.
Northbound I-75 traffic can detour to Eureka Road. NB US-24/Telegraph traffic can use other local E/W roads for a detour.
