The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) reports that beam installation for a new railroad bridge over state Route 562/Norwood Lateral will require closure of the Lateral between Interstate 75 and Paddock Road this weekend.
Road contractors will be erecting beams for the new structure that is part of the Mill Creek Expressway – Phase 8 Railroad Bridge Replacement project.
Beginning at 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 20, the ramp from southbound I-75 to eastbound S.R. 562/Norwood Lateral will be closed. This will be followed by closure of the ramps from northbound I-75 to the Lateral and from Paddock Road to the Lateral in the westbound direction at 10:00 p.m.
Once the Lateral is closed between I-75 and Paddock, motorists will be detoured by way of Paddock Road, and the restrictions will remain in place until 9 p.m. Sunday, February 22. A single-lane (right lane) closure on I-75 North will also be in effect during this time.
All work is weather dependent and subject to change.
