The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of evening/overnight lane closures on I-71 and I-75 southbound at the Brent Spence Bridge beginning Sunday, May 19.

Inspectors will be on-site between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. A single lane closure will be in place on I-71/75 southbound as you approach the Brent Spence Bridge. Additionally, a single lane closure will be in place on the southbound portion of the Brent Spence Bridge from the 191.63 mile point to the 191.36 mile point, a distance of 0.27 miles. All lanes will reopen to traffic by 6:00 a.m.

This work is a continuation of the previous inspection that took place from Sunday, April 21 through Friday, April 26. This portion of the inspection is expected to be complete by Saturday, May 25.

These lane closures are needed for part of a routine inspection of the bridge. Inspectors will return to the bridge in August for a full inspection.

Motorists are encouraged to find an alternate route to avoid any potential delays.

The date, time, and duration of work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.
