The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) reports that, starting Thursday night, 8/27 through Monday morning, Southbound I-75 will be closed over the Rouge River bridge, from Springwells to Schaefer, for bridge maintenance. The extended time frame, Thursday night to Monday morning, is due to the delay caused by numerous weekend weather cancelations.
Then starting Friday night, 8/28 through Monday morning, Southbound I-75 in Detroit will be reduced to one lane from M-10 to I-96 for pavement repair.

- Southbound I-75 CLOSED from Springwells to Schaefer
Detours:
- Freeway Detour – Southbound I-75 to Westbound I-96 to Westbound I-94 to Southbound I-275 to Southbound I-75
- Local Detour – M-85/Fort St is an alternate route
The ramps within the closed area will close earlier.

- Ambassador bridge ramp to Southbound I-75
- Vernor/I-75 Service Dr ramp to Southbound I-75

- Springwells ramp to Southbound I-75
- Dearborn St ramp to Southbound I-75
Southbound I-75 LANE CLOSURES:
9:00 pm Friday, 8/28 through 5:00 am Monday, 8/31:
- Southbound I-75, M-10 to I-96, ONE LANE OPEN with all ramps open, except
- M-5 (Grand River Ave) ramp CLOSED to Southbound I-75
