Florida I-75 Rest Area

The Florida Department of Transportation reports that beginning Wednesday, October 27, 2021, the entire southbound I-75 rest area at mile marker 238 in southern Hillsborough County will close for approximately 30 days, weather permitting. This closure allows crews to rebuild and repave the entrance and exit ramps at this location.

Below is a list of other southbound I-75 rest areas available for use:

  • Pasco County: Mile marker 278 (40 miles before the closed facility)
  • Lee County: Mile marker 131 (107 miles after the closed facility)
  • Commercial vehicles may use the Weigh-In-Motion/Comfort Station in Charlotte County at Mile Marker 158 (80 miles after the closed facility).

This project is expected to finish in the summer of 2022.
