The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists that the lane from U.S. 25 to northbound I-75 at Exit 62 (Renfro Valley) in Rockcastle County will temporarily close beginning Wednesday, September 30.
The closure is part of the ongoing U.S. 25/KY 461 improvement project.
The northbound I-75 entry ramp will remain open. The closure will affect only the left-turn lane from U.S. 25, which is expected to remain closed for approximately two weeks. Motorists should use caution and allow additional time when traveling through the area.
The U.S. 25/KY 461 improvement project includes reconstructing several intersections along U.S. 25 from I-75 to KY 461, widening KY 461 from U.S. 25 to U.S. 150, and converting the I-75 interchange ramps to roundabouts. The improvements are designed to enhance mobility and reduce congestion for traffic traveling to and from the interstate.
