The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of evening/overnight traffic impacts on I-75 / I-71 in Kenton County beginning Monday, August 4.

All work listed below will be performed between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. The listed traffic impacts should be considered minor as the work is being performed during the evening/overnight hours when traffic is less congested.

Tentative Schedule of Work

Monday, August 4

  • I-71/75 northbound single right lane closure from north of Kyles Lane (KY 1072) (188.57 mile point) to south of the Pike Street (U.S. 25) exit (190 mile point).

Tuesday, August 5

  • I-71/75 northbound single right lane closure from north of Kyles Lane (KY 1072) to south of the Pike Street (U.S. 25) exit.

Wednesday, August 6

  • I-71/75 northbound single right lane closure from north of Kyles Lane (KY 1072) to south of the Pike Street (U.S. 25) exit.
  • Once the above work is completed, crews will shift to I-71/75 northbound from north of Pike Street (U.S. 25) (190.74 mile point) to the Kentucky/Ohio state line (192 mile point) This work will require a single left lane closure. 

Thursday, August 7

  • I-71/75 northbound single left lane closure from north of Pike Street to the Kentucky/Ohio state line.

While this work is being performed during evening/overnight hours — motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and find alternate routes to avoid any potential delays. Appropriate signage will be in place to warn motorists of the upcoming work. 

Weather permitting, this soil boring work is expected to be completed Friday, August 8 at 6:00 a.m.

Project schedules are subject to change due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
