I-75/I-74 Lane, Ramp Closures, Detours This Weekend in Ohio

The following restrictions will be in effect within the corridor for the Interstate 74/75 Mill Creek Expressway – Phase 5B project this week as contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) prepare for the next round of a paving blitz on I-74 West.

Thursday, November 7:

  • Single-lane (right lane) closure on I-74 East, from the northbound Beekman Street overpass to the Emore Street overpass, from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Thursday.
  • Closure of the ramp from southbound Beekman Street to I-74 East, from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Thursday. Motorists will be detoured via Elmore, Colerain, and Beekman streets to I-74 West and the Texas Turnaround at the Montana Avenue exit to I-74 East.

Friday & Saturday, November 8 & 9:

  • Single-lane (left lane) closure on I-74 East, from the Montana Avenue on-ramp to the Spring Grove Road overpass, from 8:00 p.m. each night to 5:00 a.m. following day.

Friday-Monday, November 8-11:

  • Full closure of I-74 West, between the I-75 North and South exits to just west of the southbound Beekman Street overpass, beginning at 9:00 p.m. Friday and continuing until 5:00 a.m. Monday.
  • The detours for I-74 West from I-75 will be as follows:
    • I-75 North to I-74 West motorists will be detoured via S.R. 126/Ronald Reagan Cross County Highway West and I-275 South to I-74 West.
    • I-75 South to I-74 West motorists will be detoured via U.S. 50 West and S.R. 128 to I-74 West.
  • The on-ramps from north and southbound Beekman Street/Colerain Avenue to I-74 West will remain open.

Motorists are reminded of the need for additional caution when traveling through the various work zones and detours.
