The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) reports that winter storm forecasts are being updated with new information as we near the weekend, and so far, the consensus is that there will be some type of snowfall. There could be as much as 14 inches in some areas of the state (according to some forecasts) and as few as 2 inches in other parts. Either way you look at it you will need to be prepared. Even the smallest amount of snow becomes problematic with wind and low temperatures.

Stay informed by monitoring local weather in your area, follow this website for real-time traffic updates and cameras, remember to adjust your driving to match the conditions, and allow extra travel time!! Travel will be difficult starting Saturday and likely continue through Monday morning.

Our more than 1,400 plows will be out before, during, and after the storm, but when it is actively snowing roads are expected to be snow-covered. The average snowplow route takes 1-2 hours so if you are out, you are likely in front of or behind a plow. Give them room to work.

Most importantly, Midwest drivers should know snow, letโ€™s keep it safe and smart out there folks.
