The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will begin a significant infrastructure enhancement project on I-75 in Cheboygan County, investing nearly $4.3 million to resurface 8.5 miles of roadway extending from north of Wolverine to the M-68 interchange at Indian River.
Work is scheduled to begin Wednesday, September 9, 2026, with an anticipated completion date of Friday, November 6, 2026. Throughout the project duration, operations will necessitate single-lane closures accompanied by temporary traffic shifts to maintain safe and efficient mobility for motorists.
Motorists are advised to plan accordingly.
