The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of scheduled nighttime operations on I-75 in Fayette County. The work will complete the northbound portion of the bridge deck restoration project over David Fork of Elkhorn Creek and return northbound traffic to its normal configuration. The current southbound traffic configuration will remain in place.
The work will take place on I-75 North between mile points 109.5 and 111, near the Winchester Road (Exit 110) area.
Beginning Monday night, August 31, rolling roadblocks will be in place from 8:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. while crews remove the existing northbound lane closure and restripe the roadway. Following the work, northbound traffic will return to its normal configuration.
Work on the southbound portion of the project will continue, with the existing traffic configuration remaining in place.
Motorists are advised to slow down, use extra caution and watch for signage and personnel while traveling through the work zone.
All work and/or closures are scheduled on a tentative basis and are subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
