Multiple Closures, Detours on I-75 in Florida Next Week

The Florida Department of Transportation reports the following traffic impacts associated with I-75 construction and maintenance operations next week.

  • The southbound I-75 exit ramp to US 301 (Exit 254) may be closed from 11 p.m. Tuesday, January 21 to 5 a.m. Wednesday, January 22.
    • DETOUR: Prior to Exit 254, use Exit 256 (signed to Toll 618/Selmon Expressway). Once on the frontage ramp, stay in the left lane and continue south past the exit to the Selmon Expressway. After passing the exit to Toll 618, get into the right lane. At the ramp split onto southbound I-75, stay in the right lane and follow signs to US 301.
  • The SR 60 (Brandon Blvd.) entrance ramps onto southbound I-75 may be closed from 11 p.m. Wednesday, January 22 to 5 a.m. Thursday, January 23.
    • Eastbound SR 60 DETOUR: Continue past the ramp onto southbound I-75 and use the ramp onto northbound I-75. Go north on I-75 to Exit 260B (westbound Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard/SR 574). After taking the “loop” ramp onto westbound MLK and crossing over I-75, turn left to use the entrance ramp onto southbound I-75.
    • Westbound SR 60 DETOUR: Prior to I-75, use the ramp onto northbound I-75. Go north on I-75 to Exit 260B (westbound Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard/SR 574). After taking the “loop” ramp onto westbound MLK and crossing over I-75, turn left to use the entrance ramp onto southbound I-75.
  • I-75 from south of SR 574/MLK (Exit 260) to SR 60 (Exit 257)
  • Southbound lane closures: Wednesday, January 22 through Friday, January 24 from 9:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
  • Southbound I-75 Exit 254 to US 301 to be closed Tuesday night
    • The southbound I-75 exit ramp to US 301 (Exit 254) may be closed from 11 p.m. Tuesday, January 21 to 5 a.m. Wednesday, January 22.
    • DETOUR: Prior to Exit 254, use Exit 256 (signed to Toll 618/Selmon Expressway). Once on the frontage ramp, stay in the left lane and continue south past the exit to the Selmon Expressway. After passing the exit to Toll 618, get into the right lane. At the ramp split onto southbound I-75, stay in the right lane and follow signs to US 301.
  • I-75 from south of Fowler Avenue (Exit 265) to I-4 (Exit 261)
    • Southbound lane closures: Monday, January 20 and Tuesday, January 21 from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
  • I-75 southbound exit ramp to I-4 (Exit 261)
    • Lane closures: Monday, January 20 and Tuesday, January 21 from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
