The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) has announced that bridge rehabilitation work on I-75 beneath I-696 will necessitate temporary lane closures over the upcoming weekend.
Construction is scheduled from 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 18, through 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 19. During this period, the following restrictions will be in effect:
- Southbound I-75 from 12 Mile Road to I-696: one lane open
- Northbound I-75 from 9 Mile Road to I-696: two lanes open
- The 11 Mile Road ramp to southbound I-75: closed
The following ramps will remain open:
- Northbound I-75 to eastbound and westbound I-696
- Southbound I-75 to eastbound and westbound I-696
The following ramps will be closed:
- Westbound I-696 to northbound and southbound I-75
All work is weather-dependent. Motorists are advised to exercise caution by reducing speed and maintaining safe following distances while traveling through active work zones.
