The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists that starting Wednesday, July 29, the northbound exit and southbound entry ramps on I-75 at exit 62 in Rockcastle County will be temporarily closed as part of the ongoing U.S. 25/KY 461 improvement project.
The ramps will close beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29 and will remain closed approximately four weeks.
Motorists will detour via Exit 59 onto U.S. 25 to KY 461 and reconnect with U.S. 25.
The U.S. 25/KY 461 improvement project includes reconstructing several intersections along U.S. 25 from I-75 to KY 461, widening KY 461 from U.S. 25 to U.S. 150, and converting the I-75 interchange ramps to roundabouts, which will improve mobility and reduce congestion for traffic exiting to and from the interstate.
