Multiple Lane Shifts, Closures, Traffic Pacing for I-75 Work in Tennessee

The Tennessee Department of Transportation reports that Phase 1 traffic shifts on the I-75 at I-24 Interchange Reconstruction project have been implemented. Traffic should expect multiple lane shifts traveling through the interchange.

Beginning Sunday, January 5, 2020, lane closures will occur Sunday nights through Thursdays nights between 9:00 PM and 6:00 AM at the following locations:

  • I-75 Northbound at the state line,
  • I-75 Northbound at mile marker 2
  • I-75 Southbound at mile marker 3
  • I-24 Eastbound at mile marker 185
  • I-24 Westbound at mile marker 185

Traffic pacing will also occur for I-75 Northbound, I-75 Southbound, and I-24 Eastbound.

Additionally, shoulders may be closed at various locations between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM for access to the median and roadside areas. The speed limit has been reduced to 45 MPH throughout the interchange.
