The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) confirms continued progress in the reconstruction of I-75 between Needmore Road and Leo Street. Effective next week, strategic traffic modifications will implement, including the closure of select ramps and the reopening of another to optimize project efficiency.
Starting at 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 30, crews will be working to close the entrance and exit ramps on I-75 North at Wagner Ford Road for the ramps’ reconstruction. The closure, which will be in effect for approximately 60 days, will be in place by the early morning commute on Friday, May 1. Once the ramps are closed, motorists will be detoured via Stanley Avenue to Keowee Street to Dixie Drive to Wagner Ford Road.
As crews are working to close the Wagner Ford Road ramps, they will also be working to reopen the ramp from I-75 North to Needmore Road. Motorists will be able to access the ramp starting the morning of Friday, May 1, prior to the closure of the Wagner Ford Road ramps.
ODOT understands that construction can be disruptive, and we appreciate the traveling public’s patience and understanding as we work to improve Ohio’s infrastructure. Drivers are reminded to be attentive and to use additional caution when traveling work zones by slowing down and eliminating distractions.
