Temporary Closure: I-75 Rest Area in Hillsborough County

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) advises that on Thursday, December 16, 2021, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., the entire southbound I-75 rest area at mile marker 238 in southern Hillsborough County will close to repave the entrance and exit ramps.  

Below is a list of other southbound I-75 rest areas available for use:

  • Pasco County: Mile marker 278 (40 miles before the closed facility)
  • Lee County: Mile marker 131 (107 miles after the closed facility)
  • Commercial vehicles may use the Weigh-In-Motion/Comfort Station in Charlotte County at Mile Marker 158 (80 miles after the closed facility).

This project is scheduled to finish summer of 2022.
